Professor Syed Asad Hussain is currently leading Communications and Networks research at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore. He obtained his master degrees from University of the Punjab Lahore and Cardiff University UK. He was funded for his PhD by Nortel Networks UK at Queen's University Belfast. He was awarded prestigious Endeavour research fellowship for his post doctorate at the University of Sydney Australia in 2010, where he conducted research on VANETs. He has taught at Queen's University Belfast UK, Lahore University of Managemant Sciences (LUMS) and University of the Punjab. He is supervising PhD students at CUI and split-site PhD students at Lancaster University UK in the fields of cloud computing and cybersecurity Professor Hussain is serving as Dean Faculty of Information Sciences and Technology and has served in the capacity of Head of Computer Science Department COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore from August 2008 to August 2017. He regularly reviews IEEE, IET and ACM journal papers.
