Dr. Zaid Ahmad received his PhD from Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), MS degree from Iqra University, Pakistan (2012) in Telecommunication, and BS degree from Institute of Space Technology, Pakistan (2007) in Communication Systems Engineering. He has been serving Lahore Campus of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) since 2013. He is also a member of the Internet of Things (IoT) research group at CUI Lahore. He had also worked as Assistant Professor and Lecturer at Iqra University, Pakistan for more that four years before joining CUI Lahore. His research interests include wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT), LPWAN communication, and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Communication. He has effective collaborations with researchers in France, Oman and Malaysia. Zaid is Professional Member IEEE (MIEEE) and Counsellor of IEEE Student Branch of CUI Lahore Campus. Besides this, he also runs a private venture in the field of IT consultancy and plans to expand its scope to IoT product development.
