Muhammad Shuja Khan was born on November 01, 1984 in Lahore Pakistan. He received excellent education throughout his career.  His interest towards science led him towards engineering and he obtained B.Sc. Electrical Engineering (POWER) from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore Pakistan and MS Electronic Engineering From Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Swabi Pakistan in July 2007 and June 2009 respectively. His excellent research work, carried out in his MS studies, later published in reputed international conferences and journals. He joined COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore Pakistan as Lecturer in Electrical Engineering Department in August 2009. He is associated with Renewable Energy and Power System research group and has been actively involved in various projects including Modelling of Smart Micro-Grid Power Station using Solar and Wind Technology, Design the schematic of Integration of Renewable technologies with National Grid Station and Multiple faults in machines, etc.

He was awarded with merit based Higher Education Commission (HEC) Indigenous Fellowship Award for MS Electronic Engineering for the year 2007-09. Later HEC awarded him two International Travel Grants for presenting his excellent research papers in South Korea and China in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Furthermore, on his outstanding teaching and research contribution, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore awarded him two consecutive Honorarium Awards for the year 2009-10 and 2010-11. At CIIT Lahore, he organized and taught various seminars, short training courses and workshops.

He also participated in Summer Training Program, GEM4 at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta USA in summer 2011. He was associated with NanoFabrication Facility, City University of NewYork NanoEngineering and Technology Laboratory, New York City, USA   as Foreign Researcher at in July-August 2011.
