Served Previously

Ahmed Saeed received his B.S degree in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in 2006 and his M.S, focusing on Microelectronics and System-on-Chip engineering, from Lancaster University,UK in 2008. He received the PhD degree in Computer Engineering from the Glasgow Caledonian University,UK in 2016. The research carried out during his PhD studies was mainly focused on understanding of the software attacks and testing of the proposed security solutions on practical applications and systems. For instance, the main objective was to develop a hardware/software based security-aware communication protocol and modules for multi-core architectures. All the developed modules were based on real hardware/software implementation using programming languages (VHDL, Verilog, C/C++) for FPGA and microcontroller based embedded devices.

Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at CIIT Lahore. His research interests include but not limited to Internet of Things, Network-on-Chip architecture, system security, embedded systems, computer architecture, FPGA based systems, C/C++ programming, hardware descriptive languages and compile-time code instrumentation.
