Introduction

Dr Muhammad Aslam received his Ph.D at Sustainable Environmental Membrane Technology (SEMT) Center, Inha University, South Korea before joining Department of Chemical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Lahore, Pakistan. He received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from CIIT Lahore, Pakistan in 2010. He entered graduate school of Inha University, South Korea for his Masters in 2012 and followed it with doctoral studies. He has more than 50 research publications including high impact factor peer reviewed journal papers and international conference papers/proceedings. Recently, he has been awarded by two prestigious awards of "Dean's Choice of Best Researcher" and "Outstanding Research Award" in recognition of demonstrated excellence in research. He also received Best Research Paper, Oral and Poster Presentation Awards at different international paltforms. He has been working in the area of membrane science and technology at both industrial and academic research level for last six years. During his tenure at the Sustainable Environmental Membrane Technology Center, Inha University, he did pioneering work to develop novel process design in the area of anaerobic membrane biotechnology to control membrane fouling, system operation and bioenergy recovery, being net energy-positive membran operation which has overwhelm impact to membrane science and technology. He is also reviewer of prestigious journals including Bioresource Technology, Separation and Purification Technology, Chemical Engineering jounal and Journal of Membrane Science etc.

Achievements and Awards

  • Received a prestigious award of "Dean's Choice of the Best Researcher" in recognition of demonstrated excellence in research presented on the 13th of February 2018.
  • Received "Outstanding Research Award" for Most-presented International Paper in recognition of demonstrated excellence in research presented on the 13th of February 2018.
  • Recipient of "Best Oral Presentation Award" presented on 2nd International Conference on Alternative Fuels & Energy (ICAFE-2017) Daegu, Korea.
  • Awarded by "Best Poster Presentation Award" presented on International Conference of Environmental Engineering (IEEC-2017), Korea.
  • Awarded by "Excellent Research Paper Award 2014" in recognition of demonstrated excellence in research presented on the 13th February 2015.
  • Recipient of "Jungseok International Scholarship Award" for MS & PhD studies awarded by Graduate School Inha University, Korea (Mar 2012-Feb 2018).
