Engr. Dr. Muhammad Haris Hamayun is currently working as Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus. He received B.Sc. Chemical Engineering Degree from Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (ICET), University of Punjab, in 2013, and was Gold Medalist, received 3 Gold Medals (with an overall CGPA of 3.95). He received M.Sc. Chemical Engineering Degree from ICET, PU, in 2017, and was 2nd position holder (with an overall CGPA of 3.93). He received Ph.D. Chemical Engineering Degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore in 2022.

He joined Nimir Chemicals (Pvt.) Ltd. as Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE) in May 2013, and worked for 3 months. He then joined Engro Eximp Agri Products (Pvt.) Ltd. in August 2013, where he worked as GTE for 1 year, and Assistant Manager Utilities and Process for 11 months. Then, he joined CUI, Lahore Campus in August 2015 as Research Associate, and was promoted to Lecturer in February 2020. His primary responsibilities include teaching (both theory and lab), administrative responsibilities (FYDP office, CQIC office, Batch Advisor, Safety Office, CRC Office), research work (published eleven (11) research articles in international journals with a cumulative impact factor of 44.154, and h-index of 05), and supervision (supervised/co-supervised eight theses of BS Chemical Engineering).

His research interests include Process Simulation, Design, Optimization, and Catalysis. He is also a certified user of Aspen HYSYS and a resource person for Aspen HYSYS/Plus training (https://www.credential.net/bfa49ee7-a957-4ebc-961f-f422f6971d08).
