First Two-Day National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Clinical Psychology”

The Faculty of Psychology in Department of Humanities organized its 1st Two-Day National Conference on the topic “Emerging Trends in Clinical Psychology,” at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore. The aim of this conference was to gather Clinical Psychologists at one platform and share their scientific discoveries in order to upgrade the clinical knowledge and professional expertise on a uniform level in the country as well as meet the international standards of research. Psychologists from all over Pakistan attended the event with keen interest and put forth their research findings in 10 different scientific sessions held during the two days. Senior Renowned Clinical Psychologists chaired their sessions and critically reviewed their studies. Students of the field from Lahore and other Institutes of Pakistan showed their keen interest in grasping the knowledge. A poster competition and workshop on “Hypnotherapy & Pain Management” were also the part of the conference. The Incharge of the Humanities Department and President of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. Mudassar Mahmood, Conference Convener, Ms. Shazia Gulzar and Joint Secretary of the Conference Organizing Committee, Ms. Maryam Amjad gave concluding remarks and presented gratitude to the participants of the Conference in the closing ceremony held at the end of the second day in the evening at the campus seminar room. The ceremony ended up with the shields and certificates distribution to all the significant participants of the conference.
