Dr Sara Riaz is currently working at Department of Chemistry COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore campus as an Associate Professor and is involved in teaching, research, and administration responsibilities. She completed her in 2006 in organic Chemistry with distinction and M.Phil organic chemistry in 2010 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan Pakistan. She received her doctoral degree in 2014 from East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, P.R. China for her work on synthesis and characterization of novel ubiquinone derivatives and their electrochemical interaction studies with gold nanoparticles. Dr Sara has multidisciplinary research interests and is currently involved in projects including bioelectrochemical decomposition of dyes for electricity generation, synthesis of graphitic nanomaterials and their applications in energy storage devices particularly supercapacitors, electrochemical detection of biomolecules, and heavy metal ions detection in aqueous media, computational studies of synthesized materials. She has won natioanl and international fundings for her research work and published her work in variuos reputed international journals. She has supervised more than 20 MS research students and many PhD studnets are under her supervision and co-supervision.
