Shariyeh Hosseininasab is an Associate professor of Architecture at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). She is the former Chair and head of of the Department of Architecture at CUI. Dr. Hosseininasab is the Provincial Director of the National Platform for Housing Research (NPHR) Pakistan. She is also an adjunct professor in Ershad-e-Damavand University, Tehran, Iran. She has been serving as a visiting faculty and researcher in several prestigious Iranian Universities since 2006.

Prof.Hosseininasab's research interests include urban revitalisation and transformation, sustainable urban development, adaptive reuse of buildings and circular economy and issues of minorities and gender in cities. She is an architect by profession who persues multidiciplinary aspects of this field. Her earlier works are focused on the socio-spatial aspects of architecture and issues of identity, sense of belonging and memorability of space. 

In addition to publications, she follows her research interests in the form of organising, advising and instructing workshops and design studio practices. The more recent ones include; Flood Rehabilitation Shelter design with indigenous building methods and materials, Lahore Pakistan (2023), Flood Resilient Housing community design in Southern Punjab, Pakistan (2022) and Proposal for Pandemic-resilient Community Design in Lahore, Pakistan (2020). 

Shariyeh Hosseininasab holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore and a Masters in Architecture from Yazd School of Art & Architecture, Yazd University, Iran. She has worked on various documentation, rehabilitation and conservation projects in the historic city of Yazd, Iran.
