Dr. Rashid A. Khan has a vast experience of management in various top class educational institutions in Pakistan. He started his professional career from the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, (CEMB) University of the Punjab. During his tenure at CEMB he had been entrusted with overall administration of the Centre including HR, Planning, Procurement, Coordination, Estate Management and General Administration (including Security).

In the year 2002, COMSATS University started its Campus in Lahore and Dr. Rashid joined COMSATS University Lahore Campus in the start of operations of the Campus. He is the founding member at COMSATS University Lahore and he has significantly contributed in establishment, development and up-gradation of Lahore Campus of COMSATS. At COMSATS Lahore, he started his career as Assistant Registrar and currently working as Additional Registrar. During this period, he has been entrusted with multiple management assignments related to Administrative, Academic, HR, Planning & Development, Legal Affairs, Service Management, Coordination & Liaison and Security Surveillance etc.

He has a strong educational background and he completed his masters from Forman Christian College (FCC). Later, he completed his MS in Quality Management from University of the Punjab. He has been a student of Law and secured LLB and subsequently did DLL from University of the Punjab. He was awarded PhD degree in Management Sciences (Business Administration). During his PhD, he conducted research on higher education sector in Pakistan. His PhD research is novel in Pakistan as first ever in the context of Pakistan he examined the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Employees’ Outcomes in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan.

In addition, he has been able to contribute significantly to research particularly in the areas of HRM.
