Ms. Anum Shahzadi is employed as a Lecturer of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Department of Pharmacy, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus. She possesses an exceptional inclination towards academia and research. She graduated with a PharmD from Punjab University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, following training at Fazal Din Pharma Plus as a retail pharmacist. Later, she earned her MPhil degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from University of the Punjab in 2021. During M.Phil, she worked as a research assistant on an SRGP-granted project entitled “Extraction, Isolation, and Characterization of Natural Alkaloids from Apocynaceae: Probing Pharmacoinformatics-Guided Anti-malarial Potential."
Her research interests encompass multiple aspects of drug discovery, with a primary focus on molecular docking, 3D-QSAR modeling, structure-activity relationships, phytochemistry, and in-vitro biological studies. While being a frequent speaker in the field, she has published more than 65 full-length articles in indexed, peer-reviewed journals. Previously, she served at the Faculty of Pharmacy, The University of Lahore, from 2021-2023 as a lecturer in pharmaceutical chemistry.
