Talha Muftee is an architect and currently teaching 2nd Year Architecture Studio as well as Visual Communication in 1st Year at the Department of Architecture, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus since January 2018. He also designed and initiated the first course for Parametric Design at an undergraduate level. Therefore making Department of Architecture, CUI Lahore one of the few architecture schools in Pakistan working on computational design techniques.
In 2018 he was selected by Office of Dean Architecture and Design to represent CUI and participate as the first ever member of the ARCASIA Faculty Exchange Program between China and Pakistan, in which he taught 2nd Year Architecture Studio in the College of Architecture ane Urban Planning, TONGJI University, Shanghai, China for one semester. During his time there he also delivered two lectures focusing on Islamic Architecture and History of Lahore as a way to promote Pakistani architecture heritage in China.
In 2019 he collaborated with Institute of Architects Pakistan to design and build a public installation based on Computational Design and Adaptive Architecture using realtime Arduino based sensing techniques and computer programming. The project, titled "Sonar Screen" was part of the IAPEX Lahore Exhibition held at Expo Center Lahore. The project was led by Talha Muftee as well as fellow faculty member Juliane Aziz, whereas the execution team also consisted of students of Department of Architecture at CUI Lahore.
