PCBF 2018

  • Sixth PCBF-IE held successfully at Expo Centre Lahore from September 14 to 16, 2018.
  • It was jointly organized by COMSATS University Islamabad and Everest International (Pvt.) Ltd. University of Lahore, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce of Industry joined the forum as partners.
  • Governor of Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar inaugurated the Industrial exhibition and addressed the inaugural ceremony.
  • PCBF-IE 2018 was visited by 150,000 plus visitors including 200+ Chinese business persons.
  • A total of 398 standard booths were organized at this Expo, with an area of 80,000 square feet; 211 booths were for Chinese companies.
  • Around 200 Hi-tech Chinese companies participated at the PCBF-IE 2018 including very well reputed and A-listed Chinese brands such as TCL, Qingqi, Laigong, Rizhao Port, Superstar, Zichai, Foton, Universal, Shifeng, etc.
  • PCBF-IE 2018 was participated by 110 Pakistani Companies and Business Houses coming mainly from diversified sectors.
  • At least more than 500 B2B meetings and Thematic sessions were held during PCBF-IE 2018 that culminated to signing of a number of MoUs among Pakistani and Chinese companies.

PCBF 2016

  • The 5th Pak China Business Forum was held from 19th to 22nd March 2016 in Expo-Center Lahore.
  • It was organized by COMSATS University in partnership with Ministry of Science & Technology, Punjab Board of Trade and Investment and Government of Punjab.
  • The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef.
  • The event hosted around 700 Chinese delegations, 400 Chinese companies and 100 local companies related to Food Industry, ICT & Electronics, Automotives, Chemical& Bio-Medical, Textile, Tourism, Trade Associations, Trading and Logistic, Education & Research Institutes, Banking & Investment Institutions, Construction Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Total 1000 B2B meetings were held and 100 MOUs signed during the four day event.

PCBF 2015

  • Pak China Business Forum 2015 was held on March 27-30, 2015.
  • Inaugurated by Minister of Science and Technology Mr. Rana Tanvir Hussain and Ambassador of China to Pakistan Mr. Sun Weidong.
  • More than 300 Chinese Participants in the forum from different cities of China including Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kashgar and other areas.
  • Around 150 Pakistani organizations took part in the forum.
  • More than 150 Agreements / Memoranda of Understanding signed
  • In addition to this many sideline meetings were held with Islamabad chamber of commerce, Fazal Steel Mills and many other meetings with the government agencies and local Industry.
  • During the forum two major milestones were achieved, CUI signed a very important MoUs with The Thirteen Division for building the Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center in Islamabad spread over 200 acres with eight different parts including Technology park, Logistic park, Expo center, commodity display center and more.
  • Another MoU was signed with Haitian Water group with the objective of technology transfer amounting to 500 million USD in the first phase
  • More than 80,000 people from various walks of life participated in the event
  • The additional feature this year was the addition of a Media Forum between the Pakistani and Chinese counterparts.

PCBF 2014

  • The Forum was formally opened to the exhibitors and the general public on March 21, 2014 and was inaugurated by Mr. Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister of Science and Technology, Pakistan, at the Pak China Friendship Center, Islamabad.
  • Participated by 130 Chinese companies represented by 200 Chinese delegates and 85 Pakistani companies
  • Participating companies from China included 10 from information & communication technology (ICT), three biomedical engineering, seven from new and renewable energy sector, one from water conservation & purification and around 104 from various other sectors (automobile, construction, engineering, electronics, garments, jewelry, carpet, marble and rice industry). In addition, five universities also participated from different cities of China.
  • The Pakistani companies comprised of 15 from the marble sector, two from rice, 16 from ICT, 10 universities, six from engineering/electronics, one from agriculture, seven from chambers / associations / societies, two financial institutions and 26 general organizations. The organizations were clustered sector-wise alongside their Chinese counterparts to promote business-to-business collaborations.
  • The success of the Forum has been marked by enthusiastic participation of an estimated 95,000 visitors, which included many foreigners as well
  • During the forum 70 agreements were signed among different Pakistani and Chinese companies and many other meetings were held with the government agencies, the Chamber of Commerce and local industry.
  • Among these agreements, 14 were signed in marble sector, three in ICT, two in biomedical, three in rice and food sector, 18 in the textile industry and 30 in other general sectors.

PCBF 2013

  • Organized from March 23- 26, 2013 at Pak China Friendship Center, Islamabad, Pakistan.
  • Organized by COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan in collaboration with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan.
  • 32 Chinese and 88 Pakistani Companies participated.
  • Inaugurated by Special Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Noor Muhammad Jamdani.
  • 80,000+ local visitors and many foreign delegates.
  • 14 MoUs signed between various organizations.
  • Participation by public sector, private sector, R&D organization and universities.
  • Visited by ministers, diplomats, business executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, families and general public.

PCBF 2012

  • Organized from 15-18 April 2012, at the Pak China Friendship Center, Islamabad, Pakistan
  • 14 Chinese companies participated
  • 45000 local visitors
  • 500 international visitors
  • 25 MOUs signed between various organization
  • Visited ministers, ambassadors, professionals, businessman, students and general public
