About ORIC
In compliance with the Higher Education Commission’s directive, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) was established in CUI, Lahore in August 25, 2011. Since inception to date ORIC is operating at CUI, Lahore as a permanent department.
At present, ORIC has three operational wings namely, research, commercialization and professional development.
Research Wing
The Research Wing endeavors to engage in industry-oriented research by forming alliances with the industry. At the moment ORIC has developed corporate ties with LCCI, Competition Commission Pakistan, HAIER and SMEDA. Read more ...
Commercialization Wing
The Commercial Wing is engaged in activities essential towards commercializing the Intellectual Property (IP) developed at the university, business incubation and commercial projects with public and private sectors. Through ORICs platform; CUI, Lahore has engaged with like-minded organizations to ensure smooth flow of growth of commercial activities. Recent example is of becoming network partner of Plan9 (signing pending) which is Pakistan’s largest technology incubator.
