C2 Presents Rock Star Guest(s) Series

C2-Cubator 2, a start up business incubator under the ORIC platform, held a seminar featuring co-founders of XGear, Bookme, Patari, Travly and Autogeni.
Rock Star Guest(s) series is an initiative of C2 to bring recognized entrepreneurs, thought leaders and successful business persons to CIIT Lahore and transfer skills, knowledge to the greater CIIT Lahore community comprised of aspiring students, entrepreneurial faculty and staff.

The first session of the Rock Star Guest Series brought in founders making an impact in the greater entrepreneurial ecosystem.  Participants at the event had an opportunity to interact with our very own Ahmed Khalid (CEO)and Kamran Butt (CTO) of XGear.  Ahmed and Kamran graduated from CIIT Lahore in 2006 with a BCS degree.  What started as a requirement for getting their degree, work on their Final Year Project (FYP) took a commercial direction after a lot of hard work and applications to business plan competitions around Pakistan. 
The audience consisted of students from diverse disciplines including Computer Science, Engineering and Architecture and Design.  Speakers talked about their own personal experience on how they took an idea into market, problems and obstacles they faced and their determination and persistence.
During the question and answer session, students asked in depth questions about funding, incubation, competitors and future plans for the companies present. 
Approximately 90 students attended the event.  Opening and closing remarks by ORIC In charge and project manager C2, Mr. Yasir Munir promised more events in which students will have an opportunity to engage with recognized entrepreneurs, thought leaders and successful business persons.
