Dr. Saif Ur Rehman is appointed as an Assistant Professor (2014) in Department of Physics, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Physics (Nano-Optics and Nanotechnology) from University of Rabat, in collaboration with MASCIR, Morocco in 2013. He worked as Ph.D. research fellow at Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MASCIR), the first famous research institute on Nanosciences and Nanotechnology in Morocco. He received his M.Phil (research degree) in Applied Physics from Department of Physics, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 2007 and M.Sc. Physics in 2004 from the same institute. Dr. Rehman has almost eight years of research experience (multidisciplinary) nano-optics and thin films, photovoltaics, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy, biosensing, ultrafast laser nanofabrication and synthesis & characterization of nanostructured materials, Installation and working on high-tech instrumentation e.g., PVD, SEM, TEM, XRD and AFM etc. During his scientific research training and carrier, he worked with Advanced Physics Lab, UET, Lahore, Nanobiotech Lab, NIBGE, Faisalabad, iThemba LABS, Cape Town & CSIR Labs, Pretoria, South Africa, MASCIR Nano-Optics Lab, Morocco and JEOL Ltd., Tokyo, Japan.
