Dr. Allah Bux Sargana is serving as Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, COMSATS University, Islamabad, Lahore campus, Pakistan. He earned his PhD degree in computer science from Lancaster University, United Kingdom and MS degree in Computer Science from COMSATS university Islamabad, Pakistan. His PhD supervisor Prof. Angelov, is a Fellow of the IEEE, IET, and HEA, authored or co-authored 300 peer-reviewed publications, 6 patents, 3 research monographs (by Wiley, 2012 and Springer, 2002 and 2018) cited over 7600+ times with an h-index of 42 and i10-index of 123.

Dr. Sargana has more than 17 years of professional experience in teaching and research. His research interests broadly span the areas of machine leaning, image processing and computer vision, including but not limited to, human activity recognition, scene recognition, currency recognition, facial emotion recognition, and deep learning techniques for visual recognition. He has authored and co-authored more than 10 articles in international journals and conferences. He served as visiting researcher at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. He has participated in more than a dozen international conferences held in USA, UK, Jordan, Switzerland, and Pakistan.
