Dr. Muhammad Naeem Awais is currently working as a Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore campus. He has been associated with the ECE department since 2013. Before his Ph.D., he served the Department of Electrical Engineering, NUCES-FAST Islamabad campus for 4 years from 2006 to 2010.

Dr. Naeem completed his Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering with a specialization in Microelectronics from Jeju National University, Jeju, the Republic of Korea in 2013. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, he obtained a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila in 2010 and a Bachelor's in Computer Systems Engineering from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah in 2003.

During his Ph.D. studies, he worked on the fabrication of resistive switching (memristive) devices through printed electronics and used the fabricated devices for electrical switching and memory applications.

Dr. Naeem is actively engaged in a variety of teaching and research endeavors. He has supervised numerous students at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. His work has been published in several prestigious international journals, and he has successfully secured multiple research grants. Additionally, he holds a patent in his name.
