Dr. Masood Ahmad is currently working as a lecturer at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE) at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore campus. He has been associated with the ECE department since 2012. Before joining the CUI, he served the Electronics Engineering department at UIT, Hamdard University, Karachi for 4 years from 2008 to 2012. He completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control and Automation from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia, in June 2022, under the HEC Faculty Development Program for UETs/UESTPs. During his PhD studies, he worked on model-based observer design for fault detection. Dr. Masood received the Graduate on Time (GOT) award and the best paper award from the university in 2022. He has teaching experience of more than 16 years for electrical engineering at the undergrad and graduate levels. Dr. Masood is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor. He has massive experience in control and electronics and is engaged in various research activities. His areas of interest include observer and controller design for LTI systems, optimal control, robust control, and the implementation of advanced control techniques in several practical applications.
