Dr. Abdul Farooq is an Associate Professor in the Economics department. He relishes almost twenty five years of valuable teaching and research experience to his credit. He is known for his outstanding teaching skills.His teaching interest lies in Economic Theory,Econometrics, International Economics, Institutional Economics ,and Energy Economics. His research interest lies in International Trade, Energy Economics, Corruption & Economic Growth, and Applied Macroeconomics. Dr. Abdul Farooq’s work in these areas have resulted in many widely cited publications in top ranking impact factor economic journals including Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Economic Modelling, Global Business Review,  and Journal of Asia-Pacific Business.
Current cumulative impact factor of his research articles is 36.70. He has also presented his research work in various conferences held in Pakistan,Indonesia, UK and USA. He is also a Journal Referee for various international impact factor economic journals. He has significantly contributed as a team player in organizing a number of workshops and research conferences at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus.
