Dr. Abbas Javed received his BSc. degree in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan in 2006, MSc degree in Control Systems from The University of Sheffield, UK in 2008 and a PhD degree from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK in 2016. In 2009-2012, he worked as Lecturer at Department of Electrical Engineering, CIIT. After completing his PhD degree, he worked as research associate at School of Engineering and Built Environment, Glasgow Caledonian University, UK for a year. In June 2017, he rejoined Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, CUI Lahore Campus. His current research interests are in embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), IoT Security, cloud computing, building energy management systems (BEMS), outdoor air quality, energy harvesting and machine learning.
