Hasan shahnawaz Zaidi is a reknowned artist and designer of Pakistan. He has been decorated twice with Presidential Awards; Tamgha e Imtiaz in Art in 1998 and Pride of Performance in Art Education in 2014.
He was the Principal of the College of Art and Design University of the Punjab Lahore where he served for a total of 29 years before joining COMSATS in 2008.
He was instrumental in raising the Department of Fine Arts University of the Punjab to the Institute of Art and Design and later to The College of Art and Design offering nine Masters degrees and several programs of Continuing Education in addition to a PhD program. he was the head of this Institution for more than 16 years.
As an artist he has participated in more than 90 exhibitions in Pakistan and abroad.
As a Compere and Actor he has appeared in several television productions.
As a poet he has published 3 collections of his work.
