Dr. Muhammad Usman is an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus (Department of Management Sciences). He obtained his master’s degree (MBA) from Quaid-i-Azam University and MS and Ph.D. from Lancaster University Management School, the United Kingdom. His research cuts across a wide range of management and organizational topics including strategy, leadership, green human resource management, organizational learning, workplace values, employment relations, employee wellbeing, work and policy alienation, and consumer psychology. At the moment, Dr. Usman is particularly interested in the experiences and wellbeing of street-level bureaucrats and informal workers (e.g., street vendors) in low- and middle-income economies. He has published 25 impact factor research papers with a total impact factor of 72.05. His recent (2020) research work has appeared in several top-ranked international journals, such as Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory (ABS = 4, ABDC = A, Impact factor = 3.289), Tourism Management (ABS = 4, ABDC = A*, Impact factor = 7.432), International Journal of Hospitality Management (ABS = 3, ABDC = A*, Impact factor = 6.701), Journal of Environmental Management (ABS = 3, ABDC = A, Impact factor = 5.647), Personnel Review (ABS = 2, ABDC = A, Impact factor = 2.074), International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (ABS = 3, ABDC = A, Impact factor = 5.667), and Behaviour and Information Technology (ABS = 2, ABDC = A, Impact factor = 1.781). He has also presented his research work at a number of national and international conferences, including three research papers at the Academy of Management Annual Meetings.
