Dr. Kashif Tufail received his PhD in physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2014. At present, he is Associate Professor  at Physics Department, COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, Pakistan. From 2015-2021, he has worked as Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Physics Department, Faculty of Science, University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. He had worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ibnu Sina Institute of Scientific and Industial Research, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia form 2014 to 2015. During services at UTM, he was awarded 'Best Researcher' award at Facutly of Science, Univeristy Teknology Malaysia for years 2016 to 2018. Dr. Kashif has supervised several postgraduate research students as main supervisor who had worked on collaborative international projects with different UK universities. He has authored/coauthored more than 70 technical papers published in international journal and five book chapters. His areas of interests are in nanomaterial, Photovoltaic Solar Cell, Plasma (Laser Plasma, Arc Discharge Plasma), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, Thin Films and Nanoparticles.  He has a significant teaching experience in undergraduate courses, Laboratory Physics and postgraduate courses.
