Muhammad Yaqoob Javed received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Anhui, China,  the M.Sc. degree from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, and the B.Sc. degree from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore, Pakistan. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of  Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore, Pakistan. Before COMSATS he served the University of Central Punjab,  from 2008 to 2018 as an Assistant Professor. He is a supervisor of a research group “Efficient Electrical Energy Systems” at CUI Lahore. He has authored/coauthored several research articles in leading journals and conferences of his field. His research interests include the design of renewable energy systems, standalone solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, maximum power point trackers for PV systems, partial shading effects in PV systems, economic energy dispatch, Microgrid, and smart grid systems. He is now an HEC approved Ph.D. supervisor.
