Dr. Muhammad Ihtisham Umar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, COMSATS Lahore campus. He completed his Bachelors in Pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab Lahore in 2005 and Masters of Philosophy in Pharmacology from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore in 2008. In 2010, he moved to Malaysia to pursue his doctoral studies from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) that is one of the top ranked Malaysian Universities. He completed his PhD in Pharmacology from USM in 2014 that was funded by USM Fellowship Scheme. Dr. Ihtisham is HEC approved PhD supervisor. His research interests include the anti-angiogenic and pro-apoptotic evaluation of drugs with special focus on their molecular mechanism.
