I am an academic and peace practitioner, and I have been honored with the Ambassador for Peace Award by the Universal Peace Federation Austria in recognition of my contributions to international dialogue, peacebuilding, and interreligious cooperation. My professional journey has been closely connected with international academic platforms, United Nations–related conferences, and initiatives focused on peace, security, human rights, and interfaith harmony.
I have actively contributed to international scholarly and policy-oriented forums, particularly in Vienna, Austria, where I have engaged with global institutions and networks working on peace and development. In 2018, I served as a keynote speaker at the Global Peace Conference held at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, which reflected my growing involvement in global peace discourse.
I have also been associated with the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), where I served as a member of the organizing team for international conferences held at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna in 2015 and 2016. In addition, I participated in several UNODC and ACUNS-related events from 2015 to 2020, focusing on critical global challenges such as anti-corruption, terrorism, human rights, peace, security, and education.
My work further includes collaboration with the International Institute for Peace, Austria, where I contributed to organizing conferences on peace and security with a particular focus on South Asian affairs. I have also worked with the European Institute for Security Studies, Austria, supporting seminars and conferences addressing regional and global security issues.
Alongside my international engagements, I have participated in faculty development workshops organized by COMSATS University Islamabad and Lahore campuses between 2003 and 2005, as well as academic conferences organized by leading institutions such as the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
I have also contributed in organizational roles, including serving as In-charge of registration committees for major academic events such as the Annual Job Fair (2007) at COMSATS Lahore and assisting in the organization of the First International Management Conference held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore in 2008.
My international participation extends to United Nations observances and interfaith initiatives, including World Interfaith Harmony Week conferences in 2020, 2021, and 2025 at the United Nations Office in Vienna. I have also taken part in global discussions on faith, ethics, education, and the role of religious leaders in promoting peace and preventing crime.
Some of my notable engagements include conferences such as “Faith, Ethics & Education: Role of Religious Leaders in Crime Prevention” (Pakistan, 2021), “Building a Peace Narrative at a Time of Global Crisis” (UN Vienna, 2024), and “Where Hope Lives” (Vienna, 2025), among several other international interfaith and peace-related programs.
Through my continued academic and professional work, I remain committed to promoting dialogue, tolerance, and cooperation among communities. My focus remains on interreligious dialogue, peacebuilding, and fostering understanding across cultures, particularly in the context of South Asian affairs and global peace initiatives.
